Jacki Ochs|1998 bio
Producer/Director/Editor/Scriptwriter Jacki Ochs has made films since 1976, and her work includes both experimental and documentary genres. Her films have been broadcast worldwide. Her film, "The Secret Agent," received many awards including a Certificate of Merit from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; the John Grierson Award for Best New Director and Blue Ribbon from the American Film Festival (1984); the Special Jury Prize from the Sundance Film Festival (1984); and a premiere at the New York Film Festival, Mannheim Film Festival (1983) and Cinema du Reel (1984). Other awards Jacki has received for her work include a NYFA Fellowship (1987) and two MacDowell Colony Fellowhsips (1986, 1987). "Jazz Summit" (1987), Jacki's television program about a Soviet jazz group's first tour to the United States, has been broadcast in the United States, Japan, England and the former Soviet Union. Currently, Jacki teaches film directing at the film conservatory of SUNY Purchase.

Arkadii Dragomoshchenko|1946-2012

Poet Arkadii Dragomoshchenko was born in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, and studied at the Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in Kiev. He is at the center of the poetry scene in St. Petersburg and one of the few "underground" poets to receive attention in the West since glasnost. As a result of glasnost, Arkadii has become co-editor of a new magazine, Poetics Function, and a first collection of his work, The Corresponding Sky, was officially published in Russia in Fall 1989. Arkadii is the author of two novels, seven plays and five book-length collections of poetry published in samizdat (underground) journals. Two collections of Arkadii's work, Descriptions and Xenia, recently have been published by Sun and Moon Press in the United States. His work has been published extensively in Europe.

Lyn Hejinian|1998 bio
Poet Lyn Hejinian was born in 1941 and attended Harvard University. She is considered one of the major "language" poets in San Francisco. She is editor and publisher of Tuumba Press and co-editor/publisher of Poetics Journal. She was a member of the NEA literature panel from 1978-1981. Some of Lyn's published books include A Mask of Motion (1977); Writing is an Aide to Memory (1978); The Guard (1984); and My Life (1987). Her work has appeared in This; Hills; Paris Review; Action Poetique (Paris);
Grosseteste Review (UK); Writing (Canada); and Predloq (USSR), among others. Awards included James D. Phelan Award in Literature (1974); Poetry Center Book Award (1988); and the Pushcart Prize (1981, 1987).

Lili Taylor|1998 bio
Taylor recorded the narration for the voice of Lyn Hejinian. The exciting young actress from "Mystic Pizza," has starred recently in Robert Altman's "Shortcuts" and "Poet-A-Porter" and Abel Ferrara's "The Addiction." She is featured in Alan Rudolph's "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle" and Ron Howard's "Ransom," for which she received the Blockbuster Award for Best Supporting Actress - Suspense. She may be best known for her chilling portrayal of Valerie Solanas in Mary Harron's "I Shot Andy Warhol."

Victor Nord|1998 bio
Russian-born Victor Nord recorded the narration for the voice of Arkadii Dragomoshchenko. Victor is a Director of Dialogue for CBS and PBS networks, among others. He is an Emmy Award-winning editor and has directed several feature and documentary films.
